You secure your place with the registration deposit, paid by card when you book. The rest follows the Encounter’s payment plan: each payment has its own date, shown on the Encounter page and in My Encounters, where you pay it by card. Payments are processed securely by Stripe, and each receipt arrives by email.

Yes. When you book, tick any of the later payments to pay them the same day, or pay what is left at any time from My Encounters. The deposit is always paid at booking.

Join the waitlist from the Encounter page. When a seat opens we contact waitlisted travellers in order.

The registration deposit is non-refundable. More than 60 days before your Encounter, every payment beyond the deposit is refunded; 45 to 60 days before, 50% of the total is refunded; less than 45 days before, nothing is refunded unless a suitable replacement traveller takes your place. Every Encounter is for women aged 21 and up.

Most of our travellers come solo. Choose a double room to be paired with a roommate, or a single room for privacy.

Each Encounter page lists an activity level. Easy means comfortable walking days; moderate means longer hikes at a steady pace. No technical skills anywhere.

An experienced Encounter Lead travels with the group end to end, supported by vetted local guides at every stop.
